What is an MP3?
MP3 refers to a method of compressing audio files so they are small enough to send over the Internet. MP3 is simply a method of compressing files. In other words, it's just like a CD file, but it takes up a lot less space on your computer (about 1/10 the space). On a music CD, a 4-minute song would take up about 40 megabytes (MB) of space on your computer's hard drive. The same song in MP3 format would take up only 10 megabytes of space. In other words, downloading an mp3 file takes about 1/4 of the time it takes to download a CD file.

If you do not have it, you can download for FREE many of these programs. We recommend iTunes which works on both Macs and Windows. For users of Windows 98 or earlier, we recommend WinAmp. Portable MP3 players
If you get a portable MP3 player (similar to a Walkman), you can download the sermons to it and listen to them anywhere. We would recommend the iPod, by Apple (www.apple.com/iPod). These work on both Macs and Windows, and are the most user friendly MP3 players made. They can hold anywhere from 10gb (gigabytes) - 30gb of space, which translates into about 2000 - 7500 songs, or 200 - 750 sermons (approximately). You can also purchase portable MP3 players that hold about the equivalent of 2 or 3 CD's.
